In 2007, Cleveland’s Fox 8 - That’s Life with Robin Swoboda program surprised one lucky viewer with a room makeover and Kim was the redesigner the show selected to pull off the room transformation.
In 2008, Staged & Styled was selected to “set the stage” (literally) for Maya Angelou during her visit to Cleveland. “It was truly an honor to be selected and to meet Ms. Angelou! An experience I won’t forget!”, says Kim.
Staged & Styled was thrilled to be selected by Schumacher Homes as their premier staging company in 2008!
In addition to her local accolades, Kim was selected to present on the fundamentals of running a design business (Paperwork, Pricing, Partnering and Profits) at the national annual education conference of The Society of Decorating Professionals in Phoenix, Arizona in 2008.
In 2009, The ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) chapter of Cuyahoga Community College invited Kim to speak on Redesign. “This was such a great experience! It was so nice of them to invite me to address their talented group of graduating designers”, commented Kim.
Can You Relate with Kathy Dawson on WKYC Channel 3 invited Kim to be a guest on her show in January, 2011. Kim shared with viewers how they could spruce up their homes without spending a lot of money.
Kim also understands the value of membership to professional organizations such as the (IDS) Interior Design Society, Staged Homes, (SDP) Society of Decorating Professionals, and (DSA) The Decorating and Staging Academy.
Kim has had the privilege of helping homeowners and business owners discover the untapped potential of their spaces. However, she says that true joy comes when she is able to “donate” her talents to causes that grab her heart.
The Barnabas House was one of those endeavors. Kim, along with a fellow designer, decorated the Barnabas House for missionary families who are home on furlough from their global service.
The teacher’s lounge at Chapel Hill Christian School also received a makeover courtesy of the Hope Committee and the decorating talents of Kim. Kim also gives freely of her time and talents to school fundraisers, women’s events and trade shows. |
